An early misdetermination of Pygiopsylla hilli (Rothschild, 1904) is corrected. Pygiopsylla congrua Jordan and Rothschild, 1922 is reduced to synonymy with P. zethi (Rothschild, 1904) (males) and P. hoplia Jordan and Rothschild, 1922 (females). A new species, P. tunneyi , is described. Pygiopsylla solida Rothschild, 1916 is redescribed, removed from the genus Pygiopsylla and placed in a new genus Geohollandia .
