Three new species of Echidnophaga Olliff, 1886, E. calabyi, E. octotricha and E. eyrei. the latter two of them known from females only, are described from wombats in South Australia and Victoria, and a new species of the cheopis group of Xenopsylla Glinkiewicz , 1907, X. australiaca. is described from rodents from Victoria and Western Australia.
