The Stricklandi Section includes 3 species, Aedes spilotus sp. n. from south‐eastern Australia, Aedes turneri sp. n. from south‐western Australia, and Aedes stricklandi (Edwards) from both. Both sexes of these are described and male terminalia figured; the male of A. turneri was described by Marks (1949) as A. stricklandi . Larva and pupa of A. stricklandi and A. spilotus are described and figured, also an allied unidentified larva from Western Australia. Aedes cacozelus sp. n. is described from females from Western Australia; it resembles the foregoing species in some characters but cannot with certainty be placed in the Stricklandi Section.
