ABSTRACT This case report describes a patient with multi‐drug‐resistant mediastinal lymph node tuberculosis that evolved to smear‐positive pulmonary tuberculosis following transbronchial needle aspiration. This is the first report of this complication, and bronchoscopists should be vigilant for its occurrence.
