Primary malignant hemangioendothelioma of the liver of a 21‐year‐old male, was reported. Microscopically the formation of vascular lumen was indistinct. From the findings of silver impregnation stain which showed delicate reticulum fibers intimately encircling the tumor cells, it was suggested that the tumor cells had the nature of the endothelium. A review of the literatures was made on intraabdominal malignant hemangioendotheliomas from 1960 to 1971 in Japan which showed the liver to be the most frequently involved.
