Tuberculin reaction in guinea pig mesentery has been studied as a model of delayed type hypersensitivity. The results obtained through these series of experiments are; 1) even in the delayed type hypersensitivity, the initial phase of the reaction consists of microclrculatory disturbances similar to those of the immediate type reaction, and 2) the capacity of lymphatic drainage after plasma exudation is the essential factor for the formation and absorption of granulomas which are located in rather far distant areas from the vascular tree.
