Summary An autopsy case of Sezary syndrome is presented. Brief clinical records, major gross and microscopic findings are described. The histological findings characterized by a presence of perivascular edema and fibrosis associated with a proliferation of histiomonocytic cells are so striking as to suggest that this exceptional disease may comprise a distinct clinical and anatomical entity. We consider that Sezary syndrome is a reactive reticulosis that is dependent on a primary degenerative state of the connective tissue.
