According to T anabe (42) in 1936, a specific pneumonitis showing diffuse lobar inflammatory changes localized only in the alveolar walls and without inflammatory exudate in the peribronchial and perivascular connective tissue, bronchioles and alveoli was termed “interalveolar pneumonia.” In this paper, owing to clear up the pathological changes and causes of interalveolar pneumonia, an attempt was made to verify by histochemical methods in autopsy cases.
