Summary1)  It was confirmed that the anastomosis between the central end of the spinal nerve and the peripheral end of the vagal nerve resulted in a histomorphological union. 2)  The progress of the regeneration of the nerve fibers was far superior in hommymous nerve anastomosis to that in heteronymous one. 3)  It was assumed that not only the central portion but also the peripheral portion of the nerves anastomosed might play an active rôle in the union between them.
