Summary An attempt has been made to study the psychotic manifestations in relation to sexual cycle. An accuracy has been aimed at from gynecological aspect referring to frequent gynecologic examinations, m'croscopic tests of enbmetrium, etc. The results obtained are as follows; 1) The 1st case (schizophrenia) got excited repeatedly only during luteal phase of cycle. It has been successfuly treated with the administration of estrogenic hormone. The 2nd case (schizophrenia) fell into a stuporous state at both menarche and the subsequent ovulation. The 3rd case, moronic and unstable psychopathy, has Shawn repeatedly severe pzychotic symptoms (manic excitement) only during a menstrual flow. The observation of these 3 cases supports the conclusim that paychotic figure can be altered in an exact correlationship with a sexual cycle in some psychotic patients. 2) The observation of 2 cases supports the conclusion that a periodic psychosis in sexually active women not necessarily correlatd with a sexual cycle. 3) A case of schizophraia has got well during the periods of pathological uterine bleeding. So, it must be considered that an uterine bleeding accompanied by alteration of psychotic symptoms represents not always menstruation. The above‐mentioned interesting results suggest that this problem —sexual cycle and psychosis—should be carefully reviewed.
