Summary Experiments were carried out on five cats to demonstrate the cerebral gustatory zone as was indicated by evoked potentials on the cerebral cortex In lightly or moderately anesthetized cats, localized evocation type of potentials appeared on the chorda tympani zone of the cerebral cortex by chemical stimulation of the tongue. This result coincides with Patton's which indicated that the evoked potential on the cerebral cortex comes elicited by electrical stimulation of chorda tympani.
