SUMMARY1).  33 cases of glioma are examined and classified in accordance with Bailey‐Cushing's idea both morphologically and biologically. 2).  The said material concerned, glioblastoma multiforme is the most frequent variety of glioma. 3).  Cerebral glioma is found more frequently in adulthood and the pontine in childhood. 4).  The writers are impressed with immense rage of form variability of the gliomatous tissue. 5).  A boundary line between astrocytoma and glioblastoma is not always clear cut. The difference in the mode of interpretation of the transitional stage cases must prepare the keypoint to different returns in statistics. 6).  Rich experience and observation of the variable nature and on the perifocal picture of glioma and study on the autopsy rnaterials will be necessary items for basic diagnostic survey of all surgical specimens.
