Headache is said to be the most common human ailment and has been described from ancient times. While recurrent or chronic headaches are less common in children than in adults, they remain a source of great concern to parents and frequently result in paediatric or neurologic referral. This review will address some issues in the initial evaluation of the child with headaches.
