SYNOPSIS A series of 6 cases of cystic fibrosis of the pancreas complicated by myocardial fibrosis is presented. This complication has been reported on only 2 occasions in the English literature. In the Dunedin hospital, which serves a population of less than 250,000, 5 cases have been found at necropsy since 1948. One of these has been reported by McGiven (1962). The available literature on the subject reviewed, the pathogenesis and possible incidence of the condition are discussed, and the necropsy findings are described. Attention is drawn to a complication of cystic fibrosis which may be more common than previously suspected.
