SYNOPSIS A female infant of 10 weeks developed a maculopapular rash, with some ulceration, on the trunk and scalp, associated with hepatosplenomegaly. The rash was typical of Letterer‐Siwe disease, and a biopsy of the skin was regarded as consistent with this disease. However, the rash slowly faded, the child made a good recovery without treatment, and is believed to be a example of benign disseminated reticuloendotheliosis of the skin.
