SYNOPSIS A series of 60 children with rheumatoid arthritis has been analysed. The cases are classified as ‘infantile’, ‘adult’ and ‘intermediate’ and the presentation, clinical features, results of investigation are presented. The prognosis is good and only 7 have any significant disability. A further 7 appear to have active disease with an as yet undetermined outcome.
