SYNOPSIS A review of a group of 35 children with proven sialectasis has shown that a conservative approach is justified, for the prognosis is on the whole good. Sialography per se leads to improvement in a number of patients, and in the remainder spontaneous improvement can also be expected. In 25% of cases of sialectasis, the gland returned to normal.
