SYNOPSIS The published standards for head circumference, length and placental weight of infants at various gestations are not necessarily applicable to Australian patients. The difficulties and errors in data collection are discussed. Charts of head circumference and length of infants between 26 and 44 weeks of gestation are given in the familiar percentile form and also a similar chart of placental weight from 24 to 44 weeks of gestational age.
