SYNOPSIS Tests of serum from Aborigines at Aurukun and Weipa, two missions in North Queensland, showed evidence of high prevalence of infection with both group A and group B arboviruses, frequent reactions to serological tests for treponemal infection in older age groups at one mission only (Aurukun), and high gammaglobulin levels in all age groups, not rising with age. The need for further study of several of these findings is stressed.
