SYNOPSIS Usually, the assessment of kyphosis and lumbar lordosis is made by visual inspection, but the literature does not define the position a child should assume during this inspection. The effect of variations in the position of other parts of the body on the degree of kyphosis and lordosis has been examined. It has been shown that it is important to standardize the positions of the pelvis, shoulders, arms and head.
