Summary 1. Dihydrofolate in mice can reverse the toxicity of a lethal dose of methotrexate. 2. The ‘rescue’ of mice after a lethal dose of methotrexate suggests that dihydrofolate could have a clinical use as an antidote in treating methotrexate‐induced toxicity.
