Working in remote Aboriginal communities in the Darwin Rural District of the Northern Territory is a challenging field of occupational therapy. This paper describes some of the models adopted to address the needs of Aborigines in these communities and some cross‐cultural considerations required to provide a relevant rehabilitation programme.
