SUMMARY A 32 year old Japanese male has had several synchronized attacks of psoriatic arthritis and hypopyon‐iridocyclitis. During exacerbations, he has a leucocytosis with neutrophilia and elevated C‐reactive protein. Assessment for adhesiveness, aggregation and deformation of peripheral neutrophils revealed strikingly high ‘rheological activity’, whereas during periods of remission the activity was only slightly elevated above normal.
