SUMMARY The beta‐adrenergic blockers are a commonly used group of drugs. Cutaneous reactions are uncommon but may be serious. The eruption may start several months or even years after commencement of treatment. The pathogenesis remains uncertain, but may be due to modulation of cAMP levels in both the epidermis and lymphocytes.
