S ummary A patient with the clinical and histological features of lichen planus subsequently developed the clinical and histological features of bullous pemphigoid with immunofluorescent findings of linear basement membrane zone (BMZ) C 3 deposition and circulating anti‐BMZ antibodies. This case with others in the literature suggests that lichen planus pemphigoides may actually represent co‐existent lichen planus and bullous pemphigoid.
