S ummary A patient with features of both S.L.E. and dermatomyositis following an allergic reaction to sulphacetamide eye drops is reported. Cross‐sensitization to anti‐histamine eye drops and tablets had apparently occurred. Treatment with prednisone and avoidance of cross‐sensitizing compounds was accompanied by resolution over a period of ten years. Her case is similar to that reported by Adams. 1
