S ummary Two cases of granuloma gluteale infantum are reported. This condition is characterized by reddish‐blue skin nodules in the napkin area of infants. Both patients had previously been treated for a dermatitis in this area. The nodules have a typical histological picture and undergo resolution whether treated or not. The cause of this condition is unknown, but appears to be related to the application of medicaments to the inflamed skin of the napkin area.
