SUMMARY Impaired fibrinolytic activity is found in a variety of chronio inflammatory disorders, and fibrinoiytic agents have been employed successfully in treatment. Of these disorders, outaneous vasculitis is of most interest to the dermatologist. As vasculitis is an important feature of Behcet's syndrome, fibrinoiytic therapy would appear logical. Three cases of Behcet's syndrome, investigated for fibrinolytic activity and treated with a phenformin‐ethyloestrenol regime, are presented.
