SUMMARY Four cases of epidermolysis bullosa simplex are described in a family. In five generations comprising thirty‐four subjects, twelve members suffered from the disease, suggesting an autosomal dominant transmission. Histological examination suggested the disease to be of epidermal origin. without implicating the dermal elastic tissue.
