SUMMARY A trial has been carried out to compare the relative efficacy of 1% hydrocortisone with 0.2% fluocortolone applied topically using the blind paired comparison method with a randomized series of out‐patients with bilateral symmetrical lesions of eczema and psoriasis. Results show a significant preference for 0.2% fluocortolone over 1%, hydrocortisone in cases of eczema and no preference in psoriasis.
