Correlations among 11 morpho‐economic characters and their path analysis were studied using 16 genotype of jasmine. The weight of 100 flowers was significantly associated with the Dower diameter, petal width, petal length, anther length, floral bud length and width, and 100 bud weight in positive direction. Path coefficient analysis revealed 100 flower bud weight and flower diameter to have high direct effect in positive direction. All the other characters affected the yield indirectly through these two characters, indicating that 100 floral bud weight and flower diameter could be taken as selection index.
