Summary Onychomycosis is one of the most common infections of the nail. It can be caused by dermatophytes, Candida species and other fungi. Although moulds can cause onychomycosis, they account for a minority of cases, mainly great toenail onychomycosis. We describe a case of an 11‐year‐old girl who developed an onychomycosis by Chaetomium species in second and third toenails.
