Summary: Arthrinium phaeospermum var. indicum Kan & Sullia was repeatedly isolated from erythematous nodules of a patient. Scrapings of the experimental infection developed on rabbits revealed fungal filaments and few spores similar to those of A. phaeospermum var. indicum The identiy of the pathogen is discussed and it is being reported for the first time from human being. In vitro sensitivity of A. phaeospermum var. indicum to micanozole nitrate exhibited a minimum inhibition concentration of 6.25 μg/ml. Zusammenfassung: Arthrinium phaeospermum var. indicum Kan & Sullia wurde wie‐derholt von erythematösen Knötchen eines Patienten isoliert. Schabselmaterial von experimentell mit dem Stamm infizierten Kaninchen zeigte Pilzelemente und wenige Sporen ähnlich denen von A. phaeospermum var. indicum Die ldentität des Erre‐gers wird diskutiert. Es handelt sich um den ersten Fallbericht einer Infektion am Menschen. Die MHK von A. phaeospermum var. idicum für Miconazolnitrat be‐trug 6,25 μg/ml.
