Summary: In 215 outpatients suspected mycotic lesions were washed with ethanol‐ether before specimens were taken. A significant reduction of saprophytic fungi was registered in the cultures without influencing dermatophytes and yeasts. Zusammenfassung: Suspekte mykotische Hautveränderungen bei 215 ambulanten Patienten den vor der Materialentnahme für die Kultur mit Ähanol‐Äther behandelt. Eine signifikante Reduktion der saprophytischen Pilze ohne Einfluß auf Dermatophyten und Hefen wurde registriert.
