Summary: A heavy Fusarium solani infection of the surface of a hypertensive leg ulcer in a diabetic is reported, causing a curious membrane‐like aspect of the ulcer; growth of the fungus was also observed in the crust on the necrotic skin next to the ulcer. The local and general pathologic conditions in the patient may be considered to have favoured the colonization of the ulcer. Zusammenfassung: Eine massive Infektion der Oberfläche eines Ulcus hypertonicum bei einer Diabetikerin verursachte einen merkwürdigen Membran‐artigen Aspekt des Geschwüres. Wachstum des Pilzes wurde auch in der der nekrotischen Haut aufgelagerten Kruste nachgewiesen. Die lokalen und allgemeinen pathologischen Veränderungen bei der Patientin wären als begünstigende Faktoren für die Kolonisation anzufähren.
