Over a period of almost 3 years the new antifungal agent Haloprogin was used in over 300 patients, as ointment and solution, with good results. Mycological tests were made before, during and after the course of treatment. Local side‐effects were only observed to a very small extent. A double‐blind study with Clotrimazol as solution and cream enabled us to compare the efficacy of Haloprogin with that of another recognized antifungal agent.

Zusammenfassung Im Verlaufe von fast 3 Jahren wurde das neue Antimykotikum Haloprogin als Salbe und Lösung an über 300 Patienten mit gutem Erfolg angewandt. Mykologische Kontrollen wurden zu Beginn, während und nach Abschluß der Behandlung durchgeführt. Lokale Nebenerscheinungen waren nur in sehr geringem Maße zu beobachten. Durch einen Doppelblindversuch mit Clotrimazol als Lösung und Creme konnte die Wirksamkeit von Haloprogin mit der eines anderen anerkannten Antimykotikum verglichen werden.
