Summary The prevalence of cattle ringworm due to Trichophyton verrucosum has been investigated in certain parts of India. Infection due to this dermatophyte was observed to occur in an enzootic form among calves at two cattle farms in the State of Haryana. None of the milch cattle in these farms showed any ringworm lesions. A search among the farm attendants who came in contact with the infected calves did not reveal any ringworm infection.
