Summary Since the 1958 International Congress of Tropical Medicine in Lisbon considerable progress has been made in the immunological and immunochemical analysis of fungal antigens as well as in the study of the antigenic relationsships among pathogenic and non‐pathogenic fungi. This is due chiefly to the use of various chemical fractionating procedures to analyse the fungal cell constituents and by the application of recently developed, highly refined serological methods, such as agar‐gel diffusion, immuno‐electrophoresis and immuno‐fluorescence technics
