Phoma nigrificans was isoiated from leaves of Thlaspi arvense. The cultural characteristics are described, and results of comparative pathogenicity tests including Phoma lingam isolates on B. napus var. oleifera and T. arvense are given. This is the first report of P. nigrificans from Poland.
