A leaf spot disease of mango ( Mangifera indica ) caused by Cylindrocladium scoparium was found in central Brazil in 1994. Pathogenicity tests and re‐isolations from artificially‐inoculated leaves confirmed that C. scoparium was the incitant. This is believed to be the first report of the fungus attacking mango leaves.
