A method to evaluate intensity of Cercospora disease on sugarbeet, based on severity of leaf area symptoms was elaborated. This method is valid because of good repeatability, reproducibility, and accuracy of assessments. Zusammenfassung Einschätzung der Cercospora ‐Befallsintensität in Zuckerrüben. I. Um die Intensität des Cercospora ‐Befalls in Zuckerrüben zu schätzen, wurde eine Methode ausgearbeitet, die auf der Stärke der Blattfleckensymptome basiert. Diese Methode läßt sich gut anwenden, da die Einschätzungen sich gut wiederholen und reproduzieren lassen und sie genau sind.
