Rhizothyrium parasiticum sp. nov. ( Coelomycetes ), a leaf parasite on Araucaria araucana (Mol.) C. Koch An imperfect fungus, which causes leaf spots on Araucaria araucana in Chile is described. The usually fairly small necrosis are soon blocked off by a woundperiderm. The placement of this pathogene in the genus Rhizothyrium Naoumoff is discussed.
