A sex attractant for Atethmia ambusta , a pest on apple and peach trees, was established in field tests. The blends of 1000 μg of Z7–14Ac and admixtures of 10, 100 and 1000 μg of Z5–14Ac respectively were almost equally attractive to the males of this species. Z7–12Ac and Z11–14Ac were found to be strong inhibitors of A. ambusta sex attractant.
