Tolerance levels for supervised control of insect pests in Brussels sprouts and white cabbage

During a number of growing seasons sets of tolerance levels, a practical approximation of variable control thresholds, have been tested and verified in various cabbage growing areas in the Netherlands. These sets are being used in supervised control of insect pests in Brussels sprouts and white cabbage. They indicate tolerable levels of caterpillar and cabbage aphid populations in relation to the growth stage of the crop. Zusammenfassung Toleranzgrenzen für die Überwachung von Schadinsekten an Rosen‐ und Weißkohl Während mehrerer Vegetationsperioden wurden in den Kohlanbaugebieten der Niederlande unterschiedliche Bekämpfungsschwellen als Grundlage für eine gezielte Schädlingsbekämpfung an Rosen‐ und Weißkohl erprobt. Die Schwellenwerte basieren auf dem Prozentsatz Raupen‐ bzw. Kohlblattlaus‐befallener Wirtspflanzen in Abhängigkeit von deren Entwicklungsstadium.
