Longevity, fecundity and sex‐ratio of Goryphus nursei (Cam.) (Hym., Ichneumonidae), a solitary parasitoid of Earias vittella Stoll (Lep., Arctiidae)

The longevity, fecundity and sex‐ratio of Goryphus nursei (Cameron), a pupal parasitoid of Earias vittella Stoll were determined at laboratory conditions (22 ± 1 °C and 50–55% RH). Longevity, ovipositional period, progeny production and sex‐ratio averaged 24.6 days, 21.5 days, 82.4 indiv. and 1.62 ♂: 1 ♂ respectively. A significant correlationship was obtained between the age of female parasitoid and her progeny production capacity (P < 0.005). Zusammenfassung Lebensdauer, Nachkommenzahl und Geschlechterverhältnis von Goryphus nursei (Cam.) (Hym., Ichneumonidae) als Solitärparasit von Earias vittella Stoll. (Lep., Arctiidae ) Unter Laborbedingungen betrugen die Lebensdauer, Eiablagezeit, Nachkommenzahl und das Geschlechterverhältnis der Schlupfwespe Goryphus nursei als Puppenparasit bei Earias vittella 24,6 Tage, 21,5 Tage, 82,4 Individuen und 1,62 ♂: 1 ♀. Eine signifikante Korrelation bestand zwischen dem Alter des Schlupfwespen‐Weibchens und seiner Nachkommenerzeugung (p < 0,005).
