Studies on the distribution, morphology and biology of Tetrops starki Chevr. (Col., Cerambycidae)

The morphology of adults of Tetrops starki Chevr, has been described and compared with the morphology of related species, taking male genitalia into account. The phenology of the species and the host plants of larvae and adults have been presented. The biology and ecology have been discussed with a special attention payed to the place of occurrence and method of feeding of larvae and adults, nature of the injury, and the life cycle. The distribution of the species has been compared with a natural range of European ash ( Fraxinus excelsior L.), which turned out to be a host plant of the larva. Zusammenfassung Untersuchungen über die Verbreitung, Morphologie und Biologie von Tetrops starki Chevr. (Col., Cerambycidae) Es wird die Morphologie der Imagines von T. starki beschrieben und mit jener verwandter Arten verglichen, wobei auch die ♂ Genitalien Berücksichtigung finden. Die Phänologie der Art und jene der die Larven und Adulten beherbergenden Wirtspflanzen werden ebenso betrachtet wie die Lebens‐ und Schadensweise sowie die Zuchtmethoden. Schließlich wird die Verbreitung des Schädlings mit dem Areal der Esche, Fraxinus excelsior , verglichen, welche die Hauptwirtspflanze bildet.
