Histochemical localization of the thiophosphoricacidester insecticide triazophos in the cuticle of cockroaches

The cuticular pathways of the insecticide triazophos could be identified histochemically using palladium (II) chloride as a precipitation agent. The insecticide solution, applied to the surface of the pronotum as distinct droplets, penetrated the cuticle via the pore canals and was transported mainly by the pore canal filaments. Zusammenfassung Histochemische Lokalisierung des insektiziden Thiophosphorsäureesters Triazophos in der Cuticula von Schaben Die Penetrationswege einer acetonischen Lösung des Insektizids Triazophos durch die Cuticula von Blaberus trapezoideus Burm. and Periplaneta americana (L.) konnte mit Hilfe von Palladium‐(II‐)chlorid elektronenoptisch dargestellt werden. Das Insektizid, das auf die Oberfläche des Pronotums appliziert wurde, durchdrang die Cuticula über die Porenkanäle und wurde hauptsächlich durch die Porenkanalfilamente transportiert.
