A new species in the Platygastridae, Synopeas talhouki , characterized by an excavated scutellum, is described. It was reared from galls of Odinadiplosis amygdali , attacking buds of almond ( Prunus amygdalus ) in the Lebanon. Notes are given of the distribution and biology of the parasite. Zusammenfassung Synopeas talhouki n.sp. (Hym., Platygastridae), ein Parasit von Odinadiplosis amygdali (Anag.) (Dipt., Cecidomyidae) mit Angaben über die Verbreitung und Biologie Eine neue Art der Platygastridae, Synopeas talhouki n.sp., aus den Gallen von Odinadiplosis amygdali (Anagnostopoulos) an Mandel ( Prunus amygdalus Batsch) im Libanon gezüchtet, wird beschrieben. Angaben über die Verbreitung und Biologie des Parasiten werden mitgeteilt.
