The biology of Stictothrips fimbriata Anan. has been studied on the two fungal meals Rhizopus and Pilobolus. The fungal meals affect the fecundity and nymphal period significantly. The influence of fungal meals on different metamorphic phases has been discussed in detail. Zusammenfassung Zur Biologie des an Pilzen fressenden Blasenfuβes Stictothrips fimbriala Anan. Es wurden Teile der Biologie von Stictothrips fimbriata bei Darbietung von zwei Pilzarten Rhizopus stolonifer und Pilobolus crystalinus (beide in Pulver‐Form) untersucht. Die Fruchtbarkeit sowie die Entwicklungsdauer wurden von der Nahrung deutlich beeinflußt. Die Ergebnisse werden erörtert.
