Contribution to the knowledge of forest insect pests in Iran. I. Coleoptera . As a basis for research on forest protection against insect pest the beetles (Coleoptera) injurious on forest trees in Iran are listed. 11 families with 182 species and formes are named with informations about distribution and biology. An account on climates and forest types of Iran is given. Zusammenfassung Als Grundlage für Forstschutzuntersuchungen und ‐maßnahmen werden die an Forstbäumen im Iran schädlichen Käfer (Coleoptera) zusammengestellt. Die Liste umfaßt 11 Familien mit 182 Arten und Formen. Soweit bekannt, sind Angaben über Vorkommen und Biologie beigefügt. Einleitend wird eine Übersicht über die Klimazonen und Waldtypen des Iran gegeben.
